Shopping, Ordering and Swatches
We make every effort to ensure the colors on our website are as accurate as possible. However, please be aware that slight color variations may occur due to differences in textures and the limitations of certain monitors or display settings, which may not reflect the true color exactly.
To ensure the best match for your space, we recommend ordering swatches of the products you're considering. This allows you to view the fabric in your own home, under your unique lighting, and alongside your existing décor, helping you make a more informed decision.
Keep in mind that minor color differences may be present in swatches, as noted by the manufacturer. For the most consistent result, we suggest ordering all curtains of the same color at once, as different dye lots may show slight variations.

Fullness in window treatments refers to how much fabric is used relative to the width of the window or curtain rod. For example, a curtain with 2x fullness uses twice the width of fabric compared to the width of the window. This gives the curtain a more gathered, luxurious appearance. For more information on fullness, visit our FULLNESS GUIDE.
Curtain heading styles refer to the way curtains are attached to the curtain rod or track. They determine the look, texture, and functionality of the curtain. We offer a variety of curtain heading styles for you to choose from, including Grommet/Eyelet Top, Ripple Fold Drapery, French/Pinch Double Pleat, French/Pinch Triple Pleat, Tailored/Euro Double Pleat, Tailored/Euro Triple Pleat, Inverted Box Pleat, Goblet Pleat, Pencil Pleat, Rod Pocket, Tab Top, Back Tab, Tie Top, and Flat Panel. For more information on curtain heading styles, visit our HEADING GUIDE.
Light-filtering window treatments gently diffuse sunlight, creating a soft, glare-free glow in the room. Room-darkening curtains reduce more light than light-filtering options, helping to maintain a dimmer atmosphere during the day. Blackout curtains, however, are designed to completely block all incoming light. Despite these variations, all three types effectively block harmful UV rays, protecting your furniture and interiors.
We offer privacy lining, room-darkening lining, blackout lining, and more. Learn more about our options in the LINING GUIDE.
When you purchase our hardware, we include the necessary installation materials. However, it's important to note that there are various mounting surfaces—such as concrete, wood, drywall, plaster, steel, and more. While it's not feasible for us to provide screws and fasteners for every possible surface type, the included installation materials are designed to meet the needs of most customers.
Absolutely, you'll find the installation instructions inside the product's packaging. In the rare event that you can't locate them there, feel free to get in touch with us directly for assistance.
Most of our products offer excellent nighttime privacy. However, products labeled as 'transparent' or solar screen shades may not provide the same level of privacy. With light-filtering materials, shadows from the outside may be visible. To ensure the privacy level meets your needs, we highly recommend ordering swatches before making your final decision.
Light passing through translucent fabrics, known as 'backlighting,' can subtly change the color and highlight the texture of the material. Please be aware that the swatches shown on our website do not capture this backlighting effect. To fully understand how backlighting will affect the color and texture of a particular fabric in your home, we suggest ordering swatches from us. This will allow you to see the effect in your own space under natural lighting.
The term "mount" refers to the method used to install your window treatment, specifically whether it is placed inside or outside the window frame.
Inside mount refers to installing the window treatment within the window frame, creating a clean, recessed look. This type of mounting is popular for its sleek, modern appearance and is commonly used for blinds and shades. The minimum depth required for an inside mount can vary by product, so please refer to the product specifications for specific depth requirements.
Outside mount is when the treatment is installed outside the window frame, either on the window casing or on the wall above the window. This option is ideal for windows with obstacles, such as security hardware, or windows with shallow sills that make inside mounting impractical. Outside mounts can also make windows appear larger and can help hide less attractive features of the window frame.
Opacity refers to the degree to which a fabric allows light to pass through. Fabrics that block all light are typically called 'blackout' materials. However, even blackout products may let some light seep through the edges. 'Room-darkening' fabrics block most light but are not fully opaque. 'Light-filtering' fabrics provide a soft, diffused glow during the day while still allowing some light into the room and preserving privacy. On the other hand, 'transparent' and 'solar' fabrics allow visibility but do not provide privacy. For certain products, you can enhance their opacity by adding a blackout liner.
This popular option features a hidden control system, allowing you to raise and lower the shade effortlessly with just a touch, without the need for a lift cord. The absence of cords reduces the risk of tangling, making cordless products a safer choice, particularly for homes with children and pets.
The continuous cord loop option is a favored choice for wide or heavy shades, providing effortless opening while ensuring a tidy appearance by eliminating hanging cords.

Measuring the Width
If you already have a drapery rod, measure the distance between the finials (the decorative ends of the drapery rod).
If you already have a track, measure the total length of the track.
If you do not already have a rod or track, then you will need to determine the total width that you would like your drapery to cover.
Measure the width of the window, including the window frame/trim if applicable.
When measuring the width to be covered, we recommend adding an extension of 6-15 inches (15-40 cm) to each side of the window measurement. You may add more extension if you wish to create the illusion of a wider window.
By doing this, when the curtains are open, they will not block as much of the glass and it will allow lighter and make the window appear larger.
Also, by adding these extra inches to the width, it will extend the drapery coverage and help keep out extra light when they are closed.
Width = Window Width + Left Extension (6-15 inches) + Right Extension (6-15 inches)
Measuring the Length
If your drapery rod is not already in place, you will first need to determine the height at which you want to place your drapery rod. Please ensure there is at least 4-6 inches(10-15cm) space above the curtain rod to facilitate proper installation and use of the curtains.
We recommend Measure from 6-10 inches(15-25cm) above the top of your window to create a professional look and to give the illusion of height. This will become the placement height of your drapery rod.
Pleats and grommets are included in the length you order.
Depending on functionality and style, there are typically six curtain lengths, which are: to the sill, below the sill, above the radiator, above the floor, to the floor, and puddle on the floor.
Curtain fullness refers to the relationship between the width of your curtain rod or track and the amount of fabric used in your curtains. This is an essential aspect of curtain design as it determines how the fabric will drape and gather when hung. Different heading styles require varying fullness ratios, as some styles naturally demand more fabric to achieve their intended appearance.
Fullness is typically expressed as a multiplier (e.g., 2x). For example, if your curtain rod is 50 inches long and your curtains are 100 inches wide when fully extended, the fullness is 2x—indicating that twice the amount of fabric is used compared to the rod width.
While we always ensure the correct fabric amount is used based on the chosen heading style, you might notice variations in cost between different styles. This difference often stems from the amount of fabric required for the specific fullness ratio of each heading type.
Example Calculation: If your curtain track measures 50 inches and you choose Grommet/Eyelet Top curtains, the recommended fullness is 1.5x. To calculate the total width:
For a pair of curtains, divide the total width by two:
75 inches ÷ 2 = 37.5 inches per curtain panel.
This ensures your curtains achieve the ideal drape and aesthetic when hung.
The table below outlines the fabric measurements we use for each heading style to ensure the proper width and fullness for your curtains.
