FAQs
Cicada Wing sheer is an ultra-fine, semi-transparent fabric inspired by the delicate, iridescent texture of insect wings. It offers a sophisticated, ethereal aesthetic that provides a soft-focus view of the outdoors while maintaining a high level of light diffusion and interior elegance.
The 28mm small tube is specifically chosen for this delicate fabric to maintain a low-profile, minimalist look. Because Cicada Wing material is lightweight and thin, the compact 28mm system prevents the hardware from dominating the aesthetic, ensuring the focus remains on the fabric's fine texture.
Yes. During the day, the fine weave of the Cicada Wing fabric effectively obscures the view from the outside while allowing soft, filtered daylight to fill your room. It creates a private, comfortable atmosphere without making the interior feel closed off.
Absolutely. The 28mm tube and bracket system are designed for windows with limited mounting depth. It requires minimal clearance, making it an ideal, non-intrusive solution for recessed window frames where larger hardware would not fit.
While it has the appearance of delicate gauze, our Cicada Wing fabric is engineered for structural durability. It is treated with a specialized finish that resists fraying and snags, ensuring it holds its form beautifully even with daily rolling and unrolling.
Yes. Despite its sheer appearance, the fabric weave is designed to filter out significant amounts of harsh UV radiation. This helps protect your furniture, rugs, and hardwood floors from sun-induced fading and damage while preserving your view.
Measure the width of your window opening at three points (top, middle, bottom) and use the narrowest measurement. Ensure you have at least 6cm or 2.37 inches of depth for an inside mount to accommodate the compact bracket assembly comfortably. View Our Step-by-Step Measurement Guide.
Yes. Due to the lightweight nature of the fabric and the compact 28mm profile, these shades are excellent for door applications. We recommend using hold-down brackets to keep the fabric stable and prevent it from swaying when the door is in motion.
